  • Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008 Did Not Work  By : Roberto Garabell
In early October 2008, the Congress passed and the President signed the Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008. The purpose of the bill was "to restore liquidity and stability to the U.S. financial system and to ensure the economic well-being of Americans." The law authorized the Secretary of the Treasury to establish a Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP) to purchase the toxic waste poisoning the balance sheets of lenders and other financial institutions. This measure was passed in response to an unprecedented seizure of the short-term credit markets. Banks quit lending money to other banks once it became apparent that few of them were solvent. This fear spread to all short-term commercial paper and threatened to bring down the entire financial system. It is unclear whether or not this new program will save the institutions holding the toxic waste.

  • Borat Fighting Back Against Western Oil Companies Means Higher Gasoline Prices  By : Ozzie Freedom
Congressman Ron Paul, the CIA and the 911 Commission have all indicated that the reason why terrorists would attack America is because of blowback. A term meaning unintended consequences to Americas foreign policy policies due to our aggressions in all parts of the world including the Middle East. If you have troops in 130 countries, have bombers fly over sovereign countries, exercise antagonistic trade policies, support dictators such as in Pakistan and other places then there will be blowback.

  • Framing Baby Killers  By : Kenrick Cleveland
"We don't see things as they are, we see them as we are." - Anais Nin The ability to frame a situation is considered 'spin' by politicians and media pundits. It's the ability to situate your view on an issue to your advantage. There's the 'Nuclear Reduction Treaty' which on it's surface sounds like a pretty good idea. But in the world of 'spin' what something is called is not necessarily what's inside and in a very Orwellian twist, the actual substance of this treaty is...

So much so that there are only two major British owned gas and electricity suppliers left, namely Centrica and Scottish and Southern Energy both of which have not escaped re...

  • Christians Sleeping - Antichrist Creeping  By : Rev Michael Bresciani

  • Never trust Russia  By :
In the 19th century before and after the Crimean war [1854-55] quite a few British politicians observed that Russia could be trusted less than the Arabs. Like the Arabs, the Russians were enigmatic, deceitful and unpredictable. As a popular song circa 1878 recorded, "We don't want to fight, but by jingo if we do...We've got the ships, we've got the men, and got the money too! We've fought the Bear before...and while we're Britons true...The Rooshuns shall not have Constantinople..." The song aptly sums up the fear of Russian expansionism. Fast forward to today and the same fears apply.

  • The unbearable stupidity and hypocrisy of Jacques Chirac, Emperor of the French  By :
That erstwhile contemptible idiot, the Emperor of the French, Jacques Chirac recently criticized US policy in Iraq and the pitfalls of unilateralism. That is rich. According to Reuters Chirac stated that the Iraq war has now offered terrorism a new field for expansion, adding later in his speech that he feverishly prays for the day when, Western domination of the world has ended [since international] povertyis a moral scandal. Chirac epitomizes the lazy thinking, the rejection of reality and the anti-Western secularism that is paralyzing and belittling Europe. He is in short just another moronic, hypocritical and corrupt Francophone.
  • Rick Warren's Whole Bird - Why This Bird Can't Fly  By : Rev Michael Bresciani
When Faith and Familys Dr. Richard Land was my pastor over thirty years ago he once described his calling to preach the gospel. He said that the call to preach the gospel was a higher calling than becoming the President of the United States. After more than three decades I'm sure he was right.
  • Freudians Catch Up to Pulpiters - Too Little Too Late  By : Rev Michael Bresciani
In our society we expect preachers and moralists to speak against immorality and licentiousness. Up to now psychiatrists and psychologists have had plenty of the products of media influence to study but have made few recommendations concerning it. Thats changing even though it may be all too late.
  • Disobeying natural law  By : Stew Mayers
Freedom is a Western concept. Freedom of expression, association, economic choice, and freedom from arbitrary rule and violence is essential. Part of the greatness of civilization is the containment of uncivilized behavior and instincts. Culture, guilt, shame, quality, expectations all these and more play decisive roles in shaping behavior. Natural law, which few discuss and fewer know about, is a key basis for Western civilization. Yet the media; the elite; the educational experts [an ironic oxymoron there]; and even the church and most parents have no idea what this important concept means. Hence the rise of everything from gay sex in public, to Britney Spears kissing Madonna on stage, to the decline of real Conservatism in public affairs. Ignoring natural law and high standards leads to social degeneration.
  • The metamorphosis of Socialism to Populist Statism  By : Stew Mayers
As welfare demands, reforms and expectations have grown so too has governments ability to recast political ideology and terms in its own self interested favour. Especially poignant has been governments reordering of economic, moral and spatial values in the left vs. right terminology. Government reform of its economic philosophy to become more liberal and egalitarian has also instigated a redefinition of socialisms attitude towards its own populist configuration.
  • Hollywoods oligopolistic control of low culture  By : Stew Mayers
In a competitive market Hollywood as an industry would fail. Hollywood is an oligopolistic industry that has excessive power and little restraint. In general Hollywood provides bad product, repetitive models, less than exhilarating and uplifting personalities, and a culture that is extremist in its anti-Western, anti-capitalist and anti-Republican posture. In a normally functioning and competitive market, Hollywood would be dead-wood. But sadly in its oligopolistic position it just accretes more power. Its impact is devastating.
  • An Apology to Every U.S. Serviceman or Soldier  By : Rev Michael Bresciani
With masks and dark glasses to hide their faces they set fire to a uniformed effigy of a United States soldier. In the frenzy an upside down American flag was lit on fire as well. • Exceptions abound but in general women are naturally left wing and Marxist  By : Stew Mayers
A feminist-marxist magazine sums up some deep reservations I have about women and their massive impact socially and politically, exemplified by this column from March 2006, ..womenstruggle to affirm rights and end all forms of exploitation and oppression[and the] brutality of imperialism to block any such efforts. From the successes of the Palestinian people...to the refusal of the peoples of Haiti, Iraq, Afghanistan, Cuba, Venezuela and other countries to accept U.S. dictatewomen have been in the forefront of these struggles. Sane no. Accurate no. But relevant incredibly so.
  • The Incredible Speed of Falling - Stand Up America  By : Rev Michael Bresciani
Recent polls say Americans deal with the ever changing landscape of culture and politics by retreating to the tube with remote in hand. Do we need to be reminded that David Letterman was only joking when he said Everyone has a purpose in life. Perhaps yours is watching television."
  • Blaring Double Standards in the Cultural Diversity Movement  By : Rev Michael Bresciani
Proponents of cultural diversity and tolerance are steadily leaving behind a trail of blaring inconsistencies and blatant double standards. Will the age of reason end with technology being the only thing society nearly mastered even while social experimentation lies weak and whimpering in the wings?
  • Natural Law and Conservative thought  By : Stew Mayers
The definition of what is a conservative and what informs conservative thought covers an incredible range of philosophies. Paleo-cons, neo-cons, libertarians, social conservatives, compassionate conservatives, orthodox liberals, free-traders, constitutional conservatives, objectivists and many others populate the conservative ideological continuum. Most of these movements are only partially conservative and some are not conservative at all. So what would a real conservative actually look like?
  • Arab money in the US and a vibrant 5th column  By : Stew Mayers
Back in the 1930s various socialist and Marxist groups decided that orthodox-Western civilization could only be destroyed from within. Gramsci, the Frankfurt school, Derrida and the post-modernists along with others observed that a flanking movement which took over the media, the political elite and the university system, was the only feasible plan to achieve Marxist domination of the Western nation state. We can see the results of their insight today. A vibrant 5th column of socialistic thought and Marxian analysis dominates the above mentioned sectors of our political-economy. Now we see the same attack from Arabs and Islamic radicals. It is extremely advanced in Europe but its most vital victim is fast becoming the USA.

  • Do New Media Technologies Contribute To A More Democratic Polity  By : Jonathon Hardcastle
Since the introduction of mass media, academic debates in the field of communications and among the everyday discussions of citizens around the world, tend to emphasize on the importance of news and entertainment media as mediums of political discourse, and especially on their role as dynamic forces to nations' democratization. In United States particularly, scholars and observers place considerable responsibility upon the shoulders of new media for the current state of U.S. ...

  • Religion: Institution or Revolution?  By : Chris McElroy
In writing any article about religion you run the risk of people not agreeing with you or the risk of offending people. Does that mean we should not write about religion? Absolutely not. Should we worry that people might be offended? No. We should not go out of our way to offend people, but as long as you write your true beliefs, then you are doing what is in your heart and should share that with others. Read more . . .
  • ICANN Refuses To Reduce Trademark Infringement Disputes  By : Chris McElroy AKA NameCritic
When you file a trademark, you must specify the class it will be registered in. You are granted the use of that string of letters for use in commerce within that class. Apple records VS Apple computers my favorite analogy. They each have a trademark, but one is allowed to use theirs with music and the other with computers.
  • ICANN Creating a Monopoly in Domain Names  By : Chris McElroy AKA NameCritic
When the Internet was very young, all you had to do to get a domain name was call a man named Jon Postel, and ask for it. Things have changed greatly with the popularity of the Internet. Now the competition for a good, short, generic domain name is fierce. If you want a domain name in the popular .com namespace, you have to settle for a long, sometimes confusing, domain name.
