It makes me absolutely SICK every day that I go to work. "Why" might you ask? Well, its not because I hate my job. Its not because I'd rather be golfing. Its not even because I'd rather be spending time with friends and family. Its because in my line of work I visit dozens of businesses every single day, and I see the struggle and pure frustration that people are going through in this economy. I see the results of the Great Recession in action every day. I service fire extinguishers in Southern California; a blue collar job with a white collar mindset...my boss calls it "Khaki Collar." I have a love hate relationship with my job, but I am unbelievable grateful to even be employed in this economy. But here's what really makes me sick about seeing our current situation up close and personal. 1. Businesses my company has serviced for 10-15 years completely vanishing. 2. Empty business & corporate parks littered with "Available" signs. 3. The constant struggle with those businesses that ARE surviving to even let us service their extinguishers, LET ALONE keep our prices the same. 4. The amount of homeless people I see everyday. Some certainly earned their fate with a lifestyle of drugs & booze, but some look EXACTLY like you and me. Normal people who had normal lives, reduced to absolutely nothing. Its a sad situation for sure. So how does the average person maintain their lifestyle and secure their financial freedom in an economy as lousy as this? You have to be an entrepreneur. Break the mold of what our society tells you you have to do (yes I'm talking about that J-O-B that's making someone else rich), and CREATE your own paychecks. Until you do this, you will always be relying on someone else to pay your bills, and that's quite possibly the worst situation you could be in. You need to create some insurance for yourself so that if the economy tanks and the axe comes down, you're 10 steps ahead of everyone else, and your financial future is rock solid. So what's the best way to create your own paychecks with very little risk or investment? Get involved in a home-based business. Use the internet to replace your current income; then double and triple it. Its actually quite easy if you have the right tools and the right leaders to show you the way.
