For example, information taken from the gambling industry has shown that because women are better able to asses’ difficult situations, and take in information from many sources, and because of this they make excellent players. You now see professional woman players with their own poker chip sets and cards so that they are never far from a game. But what really separates the men from the women? This is a question that Cambridge has done some research on to find out. What they have realized is that women are better at such things as decoding non-verbal communication, as well as picking up on certain things that a person will display within their character. Furthermore, what was noticed is that where men will rush into new situations a woman will sit and watch and then make her move. And it is character traits like these in women that make them an excellent adversary to have at any poker table. So the next time you host a poker party think about inviting the women if you really want to have a good game on.
