By: khekha

A Freelancer's job is not that very easy, there are a lot of responsibilities that you should take and a lot of discipline to make. Choosing a freelancing career can be a big decision and doing this takes a lot of effort and time.Finding the right job that suits what you really what is not that quick, it takes a lot of time and most especially, to be experienced in this field to be more competitive than others. Today's competition is very hard and most of the time, only the best person get the position that they wanted.Your job as a freelancer can be complicated, meaning there are a lot of pros and cons of which I can consider, here are some.

PROS:

1. You are the boss. As a freelancer you hire yourself as your own boss, you do the things that you have to do without someone telling you to do so. You have the power over your projects and amount of workload.
2. You get a hold of your time. Of course, you have the control over your time. A regular employee usually wakes up at around six in the morning and prepares himself for a working day ahead, while a freelancer can wake up anytime he wishes and can actually do whatever he wants to do first because he's the boss of his own.
3. Money is better. A regular employee usually takes a lot of over just to have an extra money on pay days, he has to work more hours to have that or to avail that, while on the other hand, a freelancer can work anytime he wants but still he has the same payment. He doesn't need to go on over time and stuff to earn extra money. He can even work a little time and after that he can do the things he wants to do.
4. Stress is less. It is because he works less and works at home, a freelancing career can be less stressful. He can prioritize anything first and he can actually choose not to work if he feels not working.

CONS:

1. You do less of what you are doing. A regular employee has quotas and targets to make for them to show their productivity and for them to work hard as well, if you are a workaholic person this will not work for you.
2. You have to manage yourself well. Freelancing career equates to being responsible. You should be able to manage yourself very well. It is important to know the wants and the needs.
3. You have lack of security. It is because you are working alone and you don't sign any written contract, you are not secured enough. Compared to those employees who signed their contracts with an employer, they are secured enough because in case of any emergency, a company can take over the needs.
4. This is not for sociable people. This is not for sociable persons. If you intend to find a job just because some of your friends are there or you just want new one's this is not for you.

Keep in mind that your career is like that of a sown field, you need to plow the ground, fertilize the land, throw some seeds, water, watch each plants to grow and look after them while fruiting. Just remember that some trees needs a lot of time to be fruitful, you just have to fertilize a lot of patience.
