Is the Product Something You'd Buy?

It just makes sense to ensure the company has a good product. If you’ve tried the product you’ll be selling and like it then you’re off to a good start. If not, determine why you are even thinking about selling the company’s products or services. Be certain you're not joining because someone else is pressuring you into it. Don't join just because you are afraid to offend a friend or close relative.

A successful upline is crucical to your success. If your up line is successful and can prove it, the better your chances of your own business being profitable. Having a successful mentor one or two levels up in your organization is fine, too. Although your direct sponsor may not be making a significant amount of money, they may have a great and talented sponsor you can go to for help, so look to their upline to make sure you aren't missing out on hooking up with a great team.


Look For A Strong, Stable Company

Make certain the company you select is rock-solid and has a fair and honest reputation among distributors. New companies can be successful, but with direct sales companies constantly opening and closing, you want to be sure you’re with a company that can withstand any hardships that come with being the new kid on the block. So, make sure you check out the company, the leadership, the owners, and the distributors before you choose your company.

Again, Product Quality Is Crucial

There are tons of network marketing companies who claim to sell products, but in all actuality they are only selling an idea to make money owning your own business. Some of these companies do sell a service but often their products are overpriced, and exist simply to hide the fact they are actually only making money from recruitment of new distributors, and are breaking federal guidelines that govern legitimate network marketing companies.

Not every multi-level marketing opportunity is right for everyone. You have to make sure you are joining the right direct sales opportunity for your needs. It’s also important to make certain you aren't getting ripped off by a fly-by-night company. These are just four of the most important things you’ll need to determine before you actually sign up as a representative for a direct sales company. Learn as much as you can about every part of the business before you commit to anything.
