LG - altering perceptions
For the last few months, LG have really been setting out their stall for what they think is the way forward for mobile phones. The whole new highway they're taking us on really started in October 2007, with the release of a phone that was always going to grab people's attention, and make them marvel at the magnificence of what they were seeing. That phone, as if you couldn't guess, is the Viewty, LG's most successful phone ever. But little did people realise, that quantum leap had been in planning much earlier, going al the way back to the LG Chocolate.
You see, LG had a two-stage attack in mind; first came mobile phones like the Chocolate, the Shine and most notably, the Prada. During that phase, it became obvious that they were refining the looks, and getting those right. The game was on to make an ultra-sleek mobile phone, and it reached its high point with the Prada, a phone with a designer label attached, that rapidly aimed for the crown of sexiest phone ever. However, it wasn't just about sleekness, as it hinted at what was to come, with its full touchscreen interface. Anyone considering that should've seen what was coming, because now the looks were refined, it was time to add power in to the mix.
That power came in the shape of the LG Viewty, one of the single biggest-selling mobile phones in history, thanks to its amazing looks (inherited from the Prada), and its frankly awesome 5 megapixel camera. With incredible lenses, and features only previously seen in dedicated digital cameras, it was the first mobile phone to really show off LG's brand new philosophy.
From now on, their mission was to make mobile phones that did tons of stuff, all while looking sleeker than any other phone on the market. And it's in that vein that the beautiful new LG Secret is strutting its stuff!
LG Secret - looks and brains
The LG Secret really starts off where the LG Viewty left off, combining even sleeker looks, with even more sheer power. You still get a touchscreen interface, but this time, the screen is made of tempered glass. Not only that, but the battery cover is now made of carbon fibre, giving the LG Secret lightness, a strong body and crucially, a brand new look never seen on any other mobile phone!
Backing up the looks of the LG Secret is its impressive list of features. You get a touchscreen, for total control of the range of multimedia functions. You get a 5 megapixel camera that's even better than the one in the Viewty, as it includes not just slow-motion, but time-lapse video, something never seen on any other mobile phones! You get games that you can control by waving the LG Secret about, instead of pressing buttons. And you get internet access that's fast enough to rival mobile broadband. All in all, that makes the LG Secret a proper challenger for the greatest mobile phone ever!
