The Legacy Of Fred Flintstone, Alternative Energy Sources Inventor (No, REALLY!) Part 4

By: GARKO

This is the latest of several such articles which were the result of a bit of web based research I have spent some time on recently regarding potential alternative energy solutions. These articles can be found at my Water 4 Gas Blog
Believe it or not, Fred Flintstone was right with his foot powered automobile!!! Yep, that is where my research took me! His only mistake is that as an a cartoon creation he was restricted in his ability to “think abstractly” and postulate the bigger picture!
Creative individuals are beginning to realize that a potentially huge natural source of electrical energy is the energy produced in the everyday things that people do so it is not a matter of slave labor camps! Just by doing what we are already doing but by being somewhat smarter about itwith regards to conservation and recycling of energy we can supply power to large cities!
So it appears that ol’ Fred was smarter than he looked! Well, it is one place where my research took me. I also have other articles besides.
My focused mission is to enlighten people about the treasure chest of alternative fuel information at my Water 4 Gas that shows you how to convert your gasoline powered automobile engine into partial combination or total water-based hydrogen burning system. But in that endeavor I have discovered the creative thinking of alternative energy that I wanted to share other enlightening discoveries I have seen in my travels with you also.
Experiments range from the dance floor in a club that captures and regenerates electricity from the movements of the dancers on the dance floor to shoes that generate electricity by converting friction from simply walking into electricity. One of these shoes currently being tested can generate about six watts, which would be more than sufficient to keep you from having to recharge your cell phone battery. Besides Fred Flintstone, a familiar icon of the 1960s was the shoe phone used by Maxwell Smart on the Get Smart comedy. This is a new spin on a shoe phone!
Recapturing elbow grease into electricity has a long, strange history (no, not talking about Fred again lol). The first phones, two centuries ago, were powered by turning a crank that produced an electrical signal to notify the operator when one was placing a. Flashlights that operate by hand crank have long been available. So have hand-crank portable radios.
The primary point of distinction between those and these is that many of the new approaches focus on recycling electricity that is a byproduct of casual human life, such as walking, dancing or exercising. Scientists call such devices "parasitic" generators. There are several researchers working on harvesting the energy of crowds. It’s as if someone thought about the Mardi Gras or Times Square on New Year’s Eve or a U2 concert and said…”man! If we could somehow… harness that energy!”
Human power might possibly have more practical usability as an energy source in impoverished parts of the world or in areas off the beaten track of humanity where electricity isn't available. The Pentagon has spent millions of dollars in recent years on research into so-called "heel strike generators" which can be placed in soldiers' boots and could help lower the battery equipment they need to carry. This is NOT an endorsement
Larry Rome, a professor of Biology at the University of Pennsylvania, launched a new venture recently called Lightning Packs which seek to provide backpacks which can generate electricity from the jiggling motion of walking (Think about the implications for some Hollywood starlets! ). In a recent test, his prototype was able to generate about 15 watts of power from the up-and-down motion of the pack
The research he has done on the backpacks was partially funded by the National Institutes of Health, which was viewing them as a possible solution for carrying refrigerated vaccine supplies in remote areas.

Allow me to take a second to focus some attention back towards my main activity while I continue with these happy musings about Fred Flinstone’s alternative energy solutions.
WATER4GAS is offering information for a fee which consumers can use in their garage or wherever to build a small gizmo which instills hydrogen into the gas/air mixture that their automobile runs on.
The process makes bite sized particles out of the particles that the engine burns as fuel. Therefore it gets to use a lot more of the gas.
By doing this you can minimumly expect to reduce your fuel usage by 12%. But many are getting 30-50% improvement or significantly more. Those goblets "musta" been pretty darn big in some engines before. But with W4G they are made usable so you can reduce your fuel usage.
It also helps make emissions significantly cleaner.
This information has been purchased by over NINE THOUSAND car owners already and happy members number about 99%! So that's a start!
