Every floor needs to be cleaned and maintained, whatever type of floor that you may have. May you have granite, marble, stone, hardwood floor or laminate floor, it is always necessary that it is cleaned; else it may well be damaged beyond repair. The same goes for Robina Laminate Floor. Proper maintenance can enhance a laminated floor’s life. Here are a few things to remember when cleaning your Robina Laminate floor. First off, never ever attempt to clean your floor with a wet mop. As we all know, moisture can ruin the internal structure of any wooden floor. Anything in excess of what it can tolerate will enter the flooring and will result to expansion, swelling and cracking. If you need to mop it up, use a duster or a dust mop. When using any treatment, make sure you don’t spray directly over the floor. Spray it on the mop instead. Sometimes you would need to use a cleaning agent. Make sure what you are going to use is specially formulated for your Robina laminate floor. Other cleaners have chemicals that will ruin the laminated floor. You should sweep and vacuum regularly. Dust and grit can combine and form larger grits. These large, angularly shaped grits can scratch the smooth floor. Sometimes even small stones and some sand can be brought unconsciously inside your home which would also cause scratches on the laminate floor. Be sure that family members are informed that they should properly wipe their feet on area mats and rugs whenever they come in. It would be best if you have shoe racks placed near the door, hence family members need not bring in their shoes inside the house. Small stones, sand and other sharp objects are usually wedged in the sole. Walking on stilettos around the house is a big no-no since stilettos causes dents on the laminate floor. Humans are not the only concern. You should also take care that the nails of your pets are trimmed – whether dogs, cats or any other mammal. Animals have a tendency to scratch on objects, much more on the floor. Don’t let any furniture rest directly above your laminate floor. Sharp legs and narrow wheels can cause dents. Place floor protectors on each furniture’s base. When putting on floor protectors, make sure they are clean and free of any small and sharp objects. Be certain that nothing is wedged between the Robina laminate floor and the protector. If you need to transfer your furniture or appliance, make sure you place either masonite rugs or plywood. Put rollers on the object so you won’t have to drag it heavily. Do not wax your laminate floor because instead of adding gleam to the floor, it would cause dullness on the otherwise smooth floor. The same goes for over the counter soaps that are oil based since they can have the similar effects to the floor. Lastly, if there is any accidental spillage, the blaming can wait. It is essential that your laminate floor is quickly rubbed clean of the dirt and the moisture.
