This artist likes being different and hence does not follow any other drummers' beat. She likes creating new beats on her own. This artist from Pratt, Kansas is a painter and stained glass artist and creates her own art. As a matter of fact, naming it was the most difficult task for her because it was so different. She prefers being unique and not doing what everybody does. She painted on stained glass because she could not choose between painting and doing stained glass work. It is comparatively easier for her to decide what to paint as she can think of an image by simply looking at the piece of glass. That is what one should look for, but many do not realize it. With some observation you will see that images are actually in the glass. She carefully chooses stained glass for her paintings from Wichita and Hutchinson. The different designs will certainly cover the face and make a bullet hole in the chief's chest. She painted facial features and a rustic background on the glass, to put the finishing touches on the portrait. She said that painting and stained glass, the two forms of artwork, had probably never been combined earlier. It's very thrilling only because no one has ever done it earlier. The studio at the back of the pet store is where she creates most of her artwork. She has the art and glass studio and a pet store as well. I have had the pets here for several years now, and people want me to keep them. When she is not teaching art classes at the Pratt Community College, she is busy giving private lessons in stained glass, art work and painting. If you were to look at the size of the big paintbrush that the Dutch guy on television uses, you would feel as if it was used to paint a house, or something. She uses a very unique way of teaching stained glass painting. She says that she developed it on her own by studying six different ways of making stained glass combining the easiest parts of each method in her own technique. She is planning to display her stained glass painting in Wichita through exhibition classes. By participating in the exhibition, people will be able to select a piece of glass on which she would be painting. She uses the other paints as base and the oil paint to cover the stained glass.These are her trade secrets and we need to ensure that we keep them as it is. According to her, their Indian legacy is one of the main contributing factors to their interest in arts. It is quite strange but her husband makes use of the common kitchen knives and regular forks to achieve his silversmith tasks. It is a fact that he has given many famous country musicians some of his beautifully created pieces of jewelry. They have a feeling about their attachment to arts; they think it is because of their Indian culture.
