There are many negative social encounters that the homeschooler can be spared from attending public and private schools. The damaging effects of an institutional school environment can make that reason very significant. Socially disadvantaged students would find this especially applicable in their public school. There is far more of an important impact based on the positive and healthy advantages. This debate regarding socialization and homeschooling has been around for a long time. Both sides will always have good points to support their stance. Parents of children who are homeschooled need to ensure that they have access to healthy social outlets. The only difficulty in this would be if the family lived in a more rural location that would limit social interactions.
