You may have seen My Shopping Genie receiving a lot of exposure recently, it is pretty new on the scene but has also been opened up to various negative reports. The Shopping Genie, which is run by MyNet Universe, has been welcomed by some of the big retailers on the internet which is comforting news. EBay, Clickbank, Amazon are 3 that spring to mind. It will pop up on your browser showing the best deals when you search for a product. A couple of weeks back an investigation was carried out on the Genies 'business opportunity' by an Irish television programme called Prime Time. They say it's not a legitimate business, they heavily point out that it is a pyramid scheme promising false hopes of wealth and prosperity. So what is the product? Well it will cost you 199 dollars to join up (plus $30 per month) you will then have a license to give the Genie software away to others and to earn from new people that you bring into the scheme. You also have to pay around $30 a month for the back office fees. The Genie founder Bruce Bise is 100% confident that the opportunity is legitimate and he loses no sleep at night. For every two new people you sign up into this business you will earn one hundred dollars. To be honest its probably this part if the business which started the negative press about the Genie, the fact that you are being compensated for bringing others into the business. Of course you are then also eligible for the other income earning streams of pay-per-click (PPC), pay-per-sale (PPS), and pay-per-offer (PPO) as the users of the Genie Web Apps you gave them shop and price compare at hundreds of thousands of online stores for millions of products and special offers. There is no doubt that in this industry there is always going to be some negatives about pretty much every company in existance. With such a wide variety of people getting involved it's only natural, there are those who just don't like to see others succeed, perhaps because they have tried and failed themselves. Or in some cases there could be genuine reasons for getting the hump with a company or opportunity. You are always better off looking into the facts for yourself rather than taking someone else's word for it. If you want to see if there are any complaints registered against the opportunity/company in question then you can go to the Better Business Bureau. MyNet Universe (the parent company of the Genie) gets a B+ rating which is pretty good. In the last thirty six months their records show no complaints whatsoever. They did get a wrist slapping by The BBB as they used the word 'free' in one of their adverts once. To be honest you will need to make your own mind up about the legitimacy of My Shopping Genie. Some people just HATE network marketing and others HATE success and will do what they can to bring everyone else down to their level. Whether or not the Genie is out to scam you will hinge on your own individual feelings about MLM in general. For me personally I prefer a business with tangible products, so the Genie isn't 1st on my list. You also need to remember that a large amount of the bad press that MLM has received over the years is mostly due to unscrupulous marketers making unethical and hyped up claims of easy wealth. The Genie certainly does seem to be a solid business opportunity with great rewards, I particularly like the earning potential from other people using the Genie as a shopping tool, some serious residual income could be built easily. If you know how to generate a lot of leads for your business and have some good marketing skills then you can do very well with this opportunity.
