When you look at a a satellite view when looking at Google Earth or similar applications or websites you will know just how magnificent they are. I never forget seeing my own home as seen by a satellite in space. It was impressive. The screen started out looking at our amazing planet earth, then i typed in my zip or post code and watch the earth zoom into your country. Then it zoomed in further and further until we could see the roof of my home. I could take a look at the neighbours swimming pool in the backyard, woods, landmarks, nature reserves etc. It was a stunning view. Something amazing about viewing satellite images is that you can view real photographs from anywhere on earth, The Great Pyramid, Mount Vesuvius, craters formed when dinosaurs roamed the earth, you name it. Your also able to save and share that fantastic satellite view with your friends and add more personal data like your first house, or the local landmarks. Another thing you can do after you have discovered your image is your able to move and rotate the satellite view showing a more 3D or birds eye view on buildings, mountains and landmarks on the terrain. Some people have said to me if the photos are in real time and if you run around outside your house will you see yourself? The answer is no, we would need a lot of satellites out in orbit if this could happen. One possible problem that can happen, is your pc may not be powerful enough to run the software and show the 3D graphics. There are plenty to see in the US on its own.
