Oh the humanity!! Will putting any version of a system Water4Gas in your car’s engine transform your vehicle into a large ball of fire? Well no cases of such have been reported so far…. Hydrogen is not something that most folks sit around and talk about during commercial interruptions of their favorite television programming. Hydrogen is used as rocket fuel and made one heck of a blaze when the Hindenburg went up. Most folks instantly equate hydrogen with hydrogen bombs which doesn’t provide a warm fuzzy concept about using it for fuel. If we are going to use this as a substitute for gasoline the public needs to be made aware. Hydrogen, like any fuel, can catch fire and explode. However, there are many characteristics of hydrogen that make it very different from other fuels, some good some not. First of these, it is especially light. If it were to get released by accident it is highly probable that it would disperseto the surroundings quite rapidly. So unlike gasoline it would not pool up and wait to be ignited under a damaged car. Another unique property is it burns very fast. The flame spreads through it at a very high velocity, which makes it very difficult to explode. Hydrogen can also burn in air with concentrations between 4% and 74%, while gasoline is flammable only in much lower concentrations of 1.5% to 7.6%. Some other properties of hydrogen need to be considered too. The flame is nearly invisible in daylight, which could be a problem if there was an accident. There is no odor that emanates from hydrogen, but there is a work around on that one a scent could be added just like what is done for natural gas. If liquid hydrogen is being used it will be very cold and could cold burn individuals who touch it. I guess we should see what we can learn from the Hindenburg since it is one of the most notorious events connected with hydrogen gas. This disaster is undoubtedly unique since it impinged so heavily upon the public, everyone has at least heard of it. Amazingly though, new studies have concluded that the fire was not caused by the hydrogen at all. It was the paint on the craft which was made with material including aluminum powder and iron oxide. These materials are essentially the components of the space shuttle's solid rocket booster. The Hindenburg did not explode, but burned up rapidly. Historical records show that many of the victims were killed from falling out of the craft, and not from the fire. Most importantly as regards Water4Gas, it is not like these buses that drive around with hydrogen gas tanks ready to explode. Factually Water4Gas is not the same as and is many times less hazardous than installing Hydrogen tanks in automobiles and buses!!! That's lunacy! While those Hydrogen vehicles are still new on the road they're kind of ok, but what danger are we setting ourselves up for ten to fifteen years up the road? They'll be worn and we will see them blowing up everywhere. One bus in Los Angeles has already gone up while refueling. Luckily the hired worker that was in the middle of cleaning that bus had just been called away. The eruption broke the bus in half. Since these hydrogen vehicles are so flammable they also are prime targets for terrorists. We don't need to be helping them do THEIR job do we? To be clear, HHO is an explosive gas - AFTER IT ENTERS THE ENGINE - which is what the "experts" understand but they don't undersand what we have here.
