Questions About Network Marketing You Were Afraid to Ask, and other fine details - Part 2

Part 2 of 2

4. Q - Do I have to get my family to sign up with me?
A - Again, that depends on the company and how they train you, and how open to that you are. Some companies tell you to make a list of 100 people that you know and start with them. My team specializes in Internet marketing with people who answer ads on TV or the internet and ask for more information about a home business opportunity. Once we have something tangible to show family and friends, some of us opt to share it with them. It's purely a matter of choice. Others know how to dig up prospects out of nowhere and have a lot of fun with it. Most experts believe we'll be most successful mastering and using all manner of prospecting and not limiting ourselves. We're the CEO of our own companies, so WE decide what we want to do.

5. Q - Do I have to hold meetings at hotels?

A - Where and how you make presentations to prospects is up to you. Most people didn't like that format, so the majority of newer companies and teams no longer do it. The advent of the Internet has made it possible to make presentations on line via a website, or by emailing presentations. Renting hotel rooms can be costly, whereas the Internet has a flat rate for monthly or annual useage, so it's far more affordable.

6. Q - Do I have to buy a bunch of product and keep it in my house or garage?

A - With some companies you would purchase product and be responsible for moving it to generate your profit. My company, however, realizes that it's much easier on the typical Associate if they handle the orders, ship the product, and take care of the taxes FOR us. The only product we need purchase is for our own personal or family use, gifts, samples, etc. If we want to order a little extra and then sell it, we may, but only up to a point. Beyond that, we would have to enroll as an actual Distributor to retail large quantities to businesses.

7. Q - What if I don't find anyone to join me for months?

A - I don't know about other companies, but there are no cutoffs or deadlines in my company. If it takes you two years to find your first person, obviously it's not ideal, but you aren't penalized in any way. The only thing you need to do to keep your business centres active is purchase a set quantity of products for your personal use each month. Heck, I have to purchase more than the minimum because I love the products and use so many of them. I also give them to family as gifts.

Some companies understand that there are no guarantees how long it will take someone to find the right business partners, and you can pay a fee each month to keep your business active. It's not in a company's best interest to penalize its associates for lack of performance. If they do, they won't be able to keep associates long and will suffer in the long run.

8. Q – I can see the higher priced start-up option is conducive to maximizing profit, but what if I can’t afford that right now?

A – I believe it’s always best to buy the best you can afford, but you don’t want to over-extend yourself, either. Our company makes it easier to make the decision as to which package to get by offering two additional ways post-enrolment, to increase the number of business centres you have so you can later maximize your profits without being strapped for cash in the beginning. I don’t know if other companies provide that great service or not. You'd better ask!
