The Marrakech International Film Festival is a film festival that is annually held at Marrakech, Morocco since 2001. Where appreciation for Moroccan films is concerned, this festival is by far the largest festival to honor such films. During the festival, feature films and short films of Moroccan production is honored, as well as the deserving actors, actresses, and directors. The Dubai International Film Festival is an annual event that was established in 2004 by the Dubai Media City. The aim of this event is to showcase contemporary and classic global cinema. Last but not least would be the Mid East Film Festival, which is held in Beirut, Lebanon. Established in 1997, the aim of this event is to put the spot light on young talents from Lebanon and the Middle East as a show of support. The festival also aims to encourage co-production between the Arab and the international scene. All in all, Arab is filled with many creative minds that have made the celebration of them a deserving one. With a new decade starting with Arabic movies 2010, there are lots more that are expected to awe their audiences.
