Books make marvelous Christmas gifts and I would like to suggest two for your contemplation. These are stories written by me and are offered on Amazon or can be bought from your preferred book stores. Either can be purchased on their dot com websites. The two novels are Smoke and Murders, the book of a real crime that happened in Vinton, Virginia in 1994. An entire family was murdered and their dwelling set on fire. The second novel, Three Trailers Down, is the sequel and does a wind-up of some of the characters you encountered in Smoke and Murders. Both books have five star reviews from reviewers in the US and Canada. The soft cover accounts sell for $12.95 and $19.95 respectively. I assume anyone that likes books about murders will find both will keep your interest from page one until the last closing word. The actual crime that generated these two tales can be found on the Internet at allamosa.com and that place has all the characters and genuine court documents about the trial. It is my conclusion that the man executed, actually murdered, for the murders was not the person guilty for the family's death. You can see the verification and make up your own mind about it. There are anomalies such as the street lights being different where one of the witnesses said the truck went by her. She claimed it was a red truck, the man accused had a white truck. There were no witnesses to the murders, no confession from the accused, no DNA evidence produced by the prosecution, no motive by the accused and no murder weapon. Only deceit from the prosecutor, who is now a judge, and perjury from the police sealed this man's destiny. The lawyers selected by the judge that heard the case were the least competent and experienced found in the area. Both were scared of jury trials and were prominent mostly from losing easily won cases. The judge let the prosecution bring up anything regardless of its relevance and the "defense" lawyers did not object. It was a conspiracy under color of the court and authority to murder an innocent man. It succeeded far greater than anyone's expectations, the Commonwealth of Virginia killed the condemned in just over five years. How many capital cases do you hear that the person is murdered in five years? The Washington sniper was on death row more time than this individual. My interest in this case is justice, I do not know the man accused and executed and never met him. We corresponded via US postal mail by hundreds of letters and even several phone calls. If this can happen to anyone it can happen to you or me. Please aid me find justice in this case and expose the individuals that perpetrated out this terrible miscarriage of justice.
