Passion for Excellence Wins Trophies

By: Shawn5 Guthry5

The true mark of a champion is to be magnanimous in victory and shows humility in defeat. But what does it take be become a champion? What are the traits that are needed to become the best on your chosen sporting field? One common behavior that all champions share is their passion for hard work. They are the ones that you see left behind an hour or two after practice sessions. They are the athletes who push their self to the limit and are always hungry for perfection. They are the ones who will not stop until they finally get their trophies neatly placed in their bedrooms.

Passion for excellence is another virtue that makes a champion. These people are the one who loves their sport more than anyone else. They live like it is the only thing in this world that would make them happy. When they talk it’s about their sport, when they sleep it is the one they dream of. The only thing that matters to them is the trophies that they get whenever they win. It may sound little bit awkward when you talk to them since everything that comes out from their mouth is something that is concerning their sport. Their love for their sport is extraordinary and beyond comparison.

It is not rare that you see a young athlete shining on a particular sport that has a parent that excelled on the same or similar sporting event. It must be genes. Medicine has proofs that genes play a major role in the success of an athlete. So we can never discount the contribution of parents on their child’s physical attributes. Their success must have been the inheritance of an excellent bone and muscle structure of their parents, although it is not an assurance that they will be as successful as their parents in collecting trophies. The drive to surpass what their parents have achieved in the past works in two ways, some would be overwhelmed and just simply gives up but most will strive harder and take it as a challenge.

Preparation also plays a major role in creating a champion. The physical preparation should be exemplary and must be at par with the best. Scientific training must be undertaken in order to achieve the utmost strength and endurance. One must be superior in strength than its competitors to be able to become one step ahead of them. Although physical preparedness will be very important in garnering those trophies, it should compensate with mental strength. There should be enough inspiration to succeed and an endless motivation to become the best of the best.

The ability to stand up to a challenge regardless how difficult it is to overcome is an ingredient of becoming a winner. Trophies will come sooner than expected if you look in a situation in the perspective of a challenge. Never in this world can you see a champion that is a quitter. A person who stands up when they fall down and continues to finish the race will be the ones who will receive the loudest cheer from the spectator.
