When a local country club went bankrupt, it was taken over by the local government for use as a public park. The issue of the park's PA systems wasn't anticipated by the new owners. A portable PA system intended for use in tennis tournaments, swim meets and other outdoor sports events, was purchased by the park. When it was available, the portable PA system was used by renters of the banquet hall for conferences, weddings and other events, or they could supply their own equipment. A local lunatic was infuriated by the subject matter of a conference held in the banquet hall. It wasn't until after the conference attendees were evacuated that park officials turned their attention to possible risk for the people at a tennis tournament elsewhere in the park. The bomb threat was a hoax, fortunately.The evacuation of people in the bleachers at the ten tennis courts was very confused and much too slow. The bungled evacuation story was picked up by the media who criticized the incompetence of the local government. A quick decision was made to purchase a TOA PA System in response to the criticism. All indoor and outdoor concert and sporting events now have high quality sound thanks to the new TOA System. With the PA Systems' software control, each park facility now gets sound and information tailored to their needs. The entire park is covered by the PA network, including the outdoor concert area, parking lots, tennis courts, swimming pool, and all indoor rooms of the building. Thanks to the digital technology, the banquet hall and the concert area now enjoy excellent sound quality. The TOA System has shown its merits while supporting live music events and delivering public announcements. As part of an economic development plan to increase tourism, the local government recently held a three day music festival at the park which proved the value of the PA Systems. Thousands of people attended the live jazz, rock, pop, and classical music concerts. Its adaptability for many uses throughout the park, and its value for crowd control have confirmed that the TOA System was a brilliant solution.
