My most severe incident with a panic attack had me freightened that I was experiencing a heart attack. I was panicking and totally scared, I had set out in the car to the closest Emergency Room. I was sure that I was having a heart attack, and it seemed to be getting worse and worse. After being hooked up to the EEG machine, the doctor had informed me that there was absolutely nothing wrong with my heart. It turns out I was experiencing a panic attack.

As you do this, think of the great things you may have been scheduling today or sometime in the next few weeks. Centering your psyche on things like your son's upcoming birthday or that retreat that you've been putting off for so long is a great panic attacks treatment that would bring you a sense of normalcy.
