MLM Recruiting - How NOT To Work Leads

For MLM recruiting, calling leads is nothing new. In fact, there are many different places you can buy leads, many types of leads, etc.

One major problem with leads for MLM recruiting is that everyone who is calling leads is pitching them. Unfortunately though, people are not sitting at home waiting for a pitch so they can give away their money, no matter how much money you spend on leads. That's just not how it works.

There are lots of variables with MLM recruiting leads, but the one constant is that you're calling on a COLD lead. They don't know you and you don't know them. There's no relationship, no rapport, no trust.

The process begins when individuals surf the internet, finding surveys and advertisements about starting a business at home (which then turns them into MLM recruiting leads) because they are searching for a way to solve their problem. Whoever can reall connect with each prospect in a sincere way and provide them the with the best information to help them with their particular problem and give them the most value - that individual is more than likely going to "get" that potential prospect to buy from them - regardless of how many other people are chasing after them and regardless of how many other businesses they have already seen.

Therefore, to stand out from the crowd with your MLM recruiting and actually capture your COLD lead's interest, instead give them a call and find out what YOU can do for them. Ask pointed questions to see what exactly it is they are looking for; how can you HELP them with their needs? Again do NOT pitch or try to sell your COLD leads on this initial call; you are simply trying to obtain their temperature, find out their interests regarding a home based business and provide them lots of value, ie, direct them to some FREE information like your website.

How many people would you think are calling their cold leads with a goal to HELP them? That's what marketing consists of - standing above the crowd. You won't believe the response you will get when you call your purchased leads like this. Now you won't make a lot of money with this MLM recruiting approach up front but remember you want to be focused on the long haul, and this is just ONE of the weapons in your arsenal; also keep in mind that you'd make even less money calling and pitching them directly, if for no other reason than you'd probably quit after your first three NOs (on average). More to the point, more of your team will be able to duplicate this because the phone won't seem to weigh 800 lbs when prospecting in this manner, which means more numbers which means more money.

Just remember to be constantly talking with prospects and introducing people to your business on a daily basis. Pitching people won't work and it's not a very duplicatable MLM recruiting method.
