Lose Weight Fast

Many people fall at the first difficulty because they do not develop a plan of action and attack. They start off on a Monday morning full of passion and raring to go. However, by Monday evening they have given up their efforts. This is a shame because there are so many people who start off really motivated to lose weight and end up not following through without knowing exactly why. Without a plan, there is a strong chance that your motivation gives way to procrastination and failure. Keep in mind if you fail to plan then you plan to fail.
Things to really think about and plan are -how much weight you want to lose, the different food strategies you are going to utilize and the possible obstacles along the way.
Start off by deciding a practical weight loss target for yourself. Plan to lose about 7 pounds a month. This is sensible. I am all for keeping it real. The diets that tell you that you will lose 21 pounds of pure fat in 21 days are a total and utter waste of time. This is me being polite by the way. Every time I see an advert for one, it makes my blood boil. These people are playing on the idea that all we have to do to lose weight is diet for a few days and our weight problems will be over. Wrong, wrong, wrong! If you can lose 7 pounds a month you will be doing really well. Many dieters, of course, will lose more than this, particularly in their first few weeks.
I suggest that you set your first target for 7 pounds. Accomplish this, feel a sense of achievement and move on to the next 7 pounds target. Now you will begin to feel the difference and see the difference.
Decide what different food strategies work best for you. Write them in your journal.
Think about obstacles to your dieting success. How you will cope with parties, celebrations, holidays etc. What will you eat if you feel hungry? What treats can you give yourself for reaching your targets?
Think about shopping. You need to be organized. I keep a basic shopping list so that I did not have to rewrite the whole thing weekly but just change a few items here and there.
I made myself keep a journal and ensured that I wrote in it every day. I recorded what I was going to eat for the day, any treats that I was going to have and what exercise I was going to do etc. It did not take long. This helped me keep on track. You have to take massive action to accomplish your weight loss dreams. It takes hard work and determination, but boy is it worth it!
