Live Mortgage Free - Don't Let Mortgage Rates Get You Down

By: Andy Guides

It's completely wrong to feel you have to be homeless before you can save on your mortgage loan or live mortgage free. Alas, many people erroneously think this is the wise step to take to avoid mortgage loans.

It's not true that you can't own your own home and pay if off early; tell the naysayers to take their scoff elsewhere.

I bet at this point you will be asking -- but how can anyone successfully pay off their entire mortgage and still have funds for the family's uptake? Trust me -- the naysayers have got it all wrong about the possibility of this happening; but it's possible.

The mortgage loans for your home should be repaid and that should be your top priority, before anything else. Those who think paying off their home mortgage is all about bringing in thousands of extra dollars monthly are dead wrong. To pay off your mortgage without tears will take the right care in planning, the right adjustment in your budget and the right determination.

Do you know that it's really possible to complete the payment of your mortgage and own that home within 10 years or even 5 few years? You think this is impossible?

No, don't think it will take your blood to do that; it's just a little bit of sacrifice and you can be mortgage debt free.

Do you want to know the exact steps to take to achieve this?

Firstly, don't rush all out each year you receive your tax refunds to buy a car, boat or such crazy purchases. Instead of this, put the money aside each year for repaying your mortgage loans. As little as $50 to $100 more each month can go a long way to reduce tens of thousands of dollars of your mortgage loans.

It's wiser if you took a fishing trip that's very close to where you live, rather than one that's very far away from you. It doesn't make sense to continue spending money traveling very far for your anniversary celebrations when you can have it closer and save the extras.

Any lady that truly desires to pay her mortgage early should give up pedicures and manicures and those expensive spa treatments each month; learn to do them yourself instead. If you're a guy and desire to pay off your mortgage, I recommend giving up on your weekly golfing; instead make it monthly so that you can save the extra and pay it towards your mortgage.

I know it seems that saving extra hundreds of dollars don't matter towards paying off your mortgage, but you will be surprised at the great impact it will make. To make your savings greater, just pay a little extra money anytime you have it. I can't imagine anyone missing such opportunity?

Even if you're at the lowest spot at the minimum wage ladder, you have the power to save some extra $10 to $25 each month by cutting down on cigarette and beer expenses. If you can afford extra payments on your mortgage, tell your lender to increase the monthly payments for you. If this isn't possible, simple go back to the payments you were making before.

It is money well spent if you put aside your tax refund for future mortgage payment. Don't spend money in your main account for unnecessary expenses; instead, open a new account for such expenses like entertainment, vacations, groceries buying, etc. This doesn't mean you should start living the life of a monk; what it means instead is to learn to start living a moderate life and not a wasteful life. Trim the edges of entertainment a little, not stop it completely. Instead of 4 times outing in a month, make it 1 outing in a month.

The person who learns to live in moderation has what it takes to pay the extra money for their mortgage loans. Do the calculation with a calculator now. Show me anyone that will say they have no desire whatsoever for saving tens or many thousands of dollars during the course of their mortgage.

I don't agree that one must sell his/her life to own a home. It's really all about following a well laid out budget; be disciplined in paying a little bit of money every month and you will be surprised that you have paid off your mortgage within 5 to 10 years.
