Keys to Great Parenting: Part 2

A good parent begins being involved with their children's lives. Our hectic lives are filled with business, career, and other work related things. This means, they may forget to find enough time with their children.

Thoughtful parents choose to provide their children enough bonding time. A mom shares her thoughts with regard to her two kids. In the middle of her hectic schedule, she could to prepare breakfast for her children in the morning, and in the evening after her work, she makes the decision to have a discussion with them about their home work.

There are instances when her kids' do their project at the same time, and she can see the look in their faces to do it together. In this way, she is actively becoming involved herself in her kids lives.

Parents Should take part in their child's likes. In this way, they should demonstrate to the children that they are also interested in their likes. In schools, for instance, school administrators and instructors do have their family day activity each year.

They have some sports and other likes where all the members of the family get involved and do things as a whole. You could also have some story telling activities (not that normal bedtime stories) especially on weekends when you have no work.

Attempt to unburden yourself of bundled or unimportant things that make your life much too pre-occupied of things in relation to your work. Remember that forcing your kids to be involved in other hobbies without you by their side doesn't aid to increase their awareness and responsibility; instead, you are robbing them of the most important thing: your total time and attention.

Parents must take the chances of cooking something for their children to show them their love. For example, a parent may cook food for their children for mealtimes like breakfast, lunch or dinner. This may be the only time when a family get together and parents can initiate in telling many events that occurred at some point.

There is no parent without fault, but there are near perfect events that we should share to our children. Therefore, get involved in your kids lives, do not wait for the worst things to occur that have us yelling: "It's too late; I should have been there".
