By: John Krane

Some says that John Paul Joneswas the "brain" ofLed Zeppelin. He now plays with Them Crooked Vultures,a band that sounds very good in my opinion. He is an excellent guitar player and an authority of bass guitar. Also he has excellent studio mastering skils.
When Led Zeppelinended in 1980 after the tragic death of John Bohnam, the great Led Zeppelin stopped playing, but not the surviving members.John Paul Jones continued, producing and arranging albums for other artists; he also wrote songs, and then film scores for movies likes Scream for Help, Risk, and The Secret Adventures of Tom Thumb. In 1996 John Paul Jones completed the construction of his own studio Two years later he finally recorded a solo debut album, Zooma.
During the 2000s he kept busy in both studio and live settings -- producing many artists and appearing on tracks by Foo Fighters, as well as jamming at Bonnaroo with Ben Harper and the Roots' drummer .
He also participated in the 2007 Led Zeppelinreunion show at O2 Arena, and in 2009 began playing with the Dave Grohl from Foo Fighters and Josh Homme Queens of the Stone Age in the supergroup Them Crooked Vultures.
The band released its debut album later that year.
Led Zeppelin's John Paul Jones, drummer Dave Grohl and guitarist/singer Josh Homme have won a Grammy for Best Hard Rock Performance. The award, for the song "New Fang" by their group Them Crooked Vultures, was announced during non-broadcast portion of the awards.
In other non-broadcast Grammy awards, Robert Plant and the Band of Joy were shut out on their bid for a Grammy. The Band of Joy was nominated for two Grammys: Best Americana Album, which was won by Mavis Staples for You Are not Alone, and Best Solo Rock Performance, which was won by Helter Skelter from Good Evening New York City.

In other awards:
Patty Griffin, a current bandmate of Robert Plant's, won a Grammy for Best Tradition Gospel Album for Downtown Church..
Jimmy Page's fellow former Yardbirds guitarist, Jeff Beck, won three Grammys for Best Pop Collaboration, Best Pop Instrumental Performance, and Best Rock Instrumental Performance.
T Bone Burnett, who produced Plant's Grammy-winning album with Alison Krauss, Raising Sand, also won for Best Song Written for a Motion Picture, with "The Weary Kind" from Crazy Heart.
John Paul Jones is a great musician who won his place in the history of rock music and keeps on doing what he knows best:Making us ,people who likes quality music, happy.
