Pain. Suffering. Misery. Words like these describe what people tend to avoid. And yet, by focusing on the distress in our lives, we can sometimes see that change can result in an improvement. There are essentially three steps to advance with how to increase your prices. What are the 3 steps? Well, believe it or not, getting the client to focus on what he or she is without is the first step. Sometimes in order to see what's really important, we must first look at what we are without or are going to be without and feel the effects of being without unless they buy your products and services. Let's talk a little bit more about how this works. 1. You know how sometimes you start to make yourself feel worried when you focus on what you are without? Well this is one step in being able to increase your prices. You're working with human nature. When you paint a picture of what your client is going to be without unless they continue to be in your coaching program, people tend to move away from that which feels painful. So the first step to increasing your prices is in pointing out the problems associated with being without your coaching program. 2. The second step is in accentuating, in terms of feelings, the downside of being without the help of your coaching program. Describe to them in further detail how denying themselves of your coaching program is going to be an unwise business decision. Look, you know your coaching program is valuable. You also know that the cost of living typically increases. When the cost of living increases, you are affected. That means, you must raise your prices to keep living in the manner to which you've become accustomed. And, it also means that your students are also going to have to raise the prices of their coaching program. Actually, you are doing your clients a favor by increasing the cost of your coaching program when you see your lifestyle is being affected because it pushes them to boldly increase their program prices. This is good for boosting self-confidence in their coaching abilities. So price increases have lots of advantages aside from just monetary. In this second step, you're describing to your market how they will feel if they are without the help to which they've become accustomed. They are in an elite group, your coaching circle of excellence. If they are following the coaching program, they can afford it, I assure you. 3. Then, in step three, you talk about the benefits of staying with the program. Step three is the solution to the problem you just described. Promise and deliver how you'll take them to new financial heights. And you better deliver, too, or else you're only acting dishonestly. Increase your prices by looking around at the competition. Charge what your coaching program is worth. It's how you stay in a prosperous business. It's good for you and it's good for business.
