How to Find a Person's Address for Free

By: Steve Weber

If you are able to access the Internet you can find a person's address for free with a simple search engine entry. There are many sites available that will allow you to find this information out quickly and at no cost to you. You do not have to pay anyone to obtain this information. You need relatively little information to find your address.

If you only have a phone number you should look for a reverse phone book site. These sites will allow you to enter a phone number into them and they will give you all the relative information relating to that phone number. This will work for any home or business phone number. Cell phone numbers are generally not included in these searched.

If you have a name and city or state you can do a search with that information. This is the simplest way to find a person's address for free on the Internet. Most, if not all, phone book companies have their listings published on the web. Many search engines will also have this information readily available.

You can find this information out the old school way also, though this takes more time. If someone has moved and you want to find out where you can make a written request for forwarding information to the post office. This will take forever but it can be done.

If you want to find a person's address for free but do not have any information about them other than a name, be prepared to spend some time on this project. It can be done- but you will need to sift through a lot of information to find the right person. The more information you have on the person you are looking for the easier it will be to find them.

When you are looking for a person with a very common last name such as Smith, Jones or even Jackson you should try to have as much information at hand to refine your search. Even previous addresses, telephone numbers or the state that they were born can help you narrow your search for the address without having to pay.

If you want more information about a person other than their address it is likely that you will require paying for that information. Court records and other government information usually have a fee attached to them even when you go in person to retrieve the information.

You can find a person's address for free if you are willing to take the time to do the search. There are several options available on the web that will allow you to do this. There are a few ways to do so via snail mail. Your only choice is how fast you want to get the information.

Whatever you do, never pay for this information. This is public information and is available to anyone who has the ability to search. You should never waste your time or money with a company that wants you to pay to find this information out. Public information can be found in public places. These companies are doing all the same steps that were listed above, for free, and then charging a fee.
