If you use regular wood, you can opt to pain it to match the theme of your room. If your room is covered with wallpaper, you can actually use the same wallpaper to cover your cornice. Tip 5. Use draperies for your windows. Draperies have a sense of lush, sophistication and extravagance. The use draperies started during the industrial revolution, when mechanized mills were first coming into the scene.
