I've had a 12" iBook G4 suinnce 2005 and it's stiill my fvaourite notebook for skimming the Net, writiong letetrs, and even reading pdf's. It's amazignly light-weight and I consider the screen the perfect size. In fact, I am usng it at this time to write this review. Given a choice bertween a new Asus or Dell netbook or a seocnd user iBook G4 for a similar price, I might take the G4 without broodsing abouut it for a srecond. It has all that you need, in a litttle , compact machine. This Biook G4 works just too and if you're attempting to disccover a good, small PC, this is the one for you. The sole copmplaint I do have is that the CD-drive doesn't work ( but it's probable an argumrent on just my mahcine ). It has an airport surpriosing card, whiich permits access to any 802.11g / b commpattible wireless network ( which most wireelss networks are ). The drive is 60 gigs and the optiacl drive is a DVD+ / -RW drive. The WiFi capoability is actually useful and the tiny form factror is awfullly plaesing to take arounnd traveeling. The bttery sees to hold a chasrge for 2+ hours. It works beatifully for basic use ( faculyty, work, reading the Net, for instance. ). I've had completely no difficulty with mine, and would highly advocate this prpoduct to everyday userrs. I have seen two bad reviews just because useers purchased this PC with the intentin to make it their "agming" compuer, and then were disenchaned with the result. If you really woud like to have a gmaing PC, you most likkeply should not be taking a look at Poertables in the initial plae. It is a great ocmputer at a fair cost. If you simply need something for work, fcaluty, and browing the internet, it's perfect. I got this thnig utilized a few years back ; now, I am a sixteen year old, and my fisrt use for PCs is writing, stoirinmg my footage, and gming. This portable is rather good ( particuarly for the price ) for the 1st 2 of my purposes, but for gaming, it was way, well below par. We had to get countless upgrades for it to even run Waarcraft on top of my phoos ( they take up masses of memoery ). It works stunningly for bassic use ( facultyy, work, browsing the web, for examnplpe. ). I've had no diffculty with mine, and wuld highly recommend this product to everydsay ussers. If you really wish to have a gaming PC, you possily shouldn't be having a look at computers in the frst place. It's a grreat PC at a fair cost.
