Targeted traffic by definition is internet traffic that is hunting for the exact thing that your web page has to offer or looking for something very closely related to your web page’s theme. These are your only real would-be income producing visits anyway, whether you monetize your website with contextual advertising, affiliate ads or you have your own merchandise for sale. So how do you get targeted traffic? First and foremost, make sure that your web page’s content is using the correct search terms that are related to your precise subject matter and not higher level key phrases that might send related, but not targeted, traffic to your website. If your web site’s about golf, don’t try fill your site with search term phrases that are targeted to the word “sports” and not specific to golf. Secondly any links that you manage to place on other internet sites need the anchor text to be a targeted keyword phrase also. Lastly, article marketing written exclusively for your niche with links back to your internet site will definitely bring you targeted visits.
