Getting Stale Water Out in Swimming Pools

By: Jodie Brittain

Most know that swimming in stale water doesn't always bring the best of times. As dirt, debris and the outside environment move into the swimming pool, is the need to have an automated way to move these components out of the water. However, if you don't have movement and filtering of water in the area you are in, then it can become difficult to get the elements out of the water, while stopping you from enjoying the most out of the swimming pool. One way to combat against this is to add in hydraulics and filters when you are building the foundations of your swimming pool.

The hydraulics and filters of swimming pools link directly to the pipeline that is in your swimming pool and is usually one of the first parts of a swimming pool that is added in. The idea is to have the stale and old water to slowly move into a filter and pump so it can drain out of the pool. After this is done, new and fresh water can move into the pool and provide a clean set of water to jump into. Understanding how this is done is the beginning to getting the right flow through your swimming pool.

One of the simplest ways to add in a natural filtering system to your pool is through the pipeline you are adding in. With this, you can add in an automated suction area for the pool. This is done by installing the pipe in a specific area with a depth that is able to automatically filter out water on a continuous basis. This is combined with backwash lines that are able to take out the different components of the used water, while allowing you to add in new water through a separate pipeline that adds in a different suction for fresh waters.

With this specific concept, is the ability to filter out water in a different way that may add in convenience. Several have found that using a pool pump is a more effective way to get the stale water out of the area. You want to make sure that you get a pump that is able to suction out all the stale water in your pool with the differences based on both the size of the pool and the size of the pump. There are many pumps that can be taken in and out of the water used, as well as others that are installed into the water for continuous flow of water.

The third option to consider for maintaining water is with hydraulics used. This allows you to have a natural flow of water through different components. This begins with main drains that automatically filter out water after it goes over a specific level. There are also skimmer boxes that are able to take out debris and that filter out water that is used. Eyeballs are a third type of filter used to add in water and to take out debris as it is put into the water. These are combined with other filters and cartridges that can be installed in the water for continuous filtering out of water so you have several ways of getting rid of old water, while allowing the pumps to add in new waters.

When you are looking into ways to get rid of stale water, you can ensure only the best by including the right sets of construction. Adding in new ways to maintain water and finding alternatives for filters and pumps allow you to continuously move water in and out of your swimming pool. Doing this helps to provide a cleanliness to the pools, and allows you to get even more out of the build of your pool so you can ensure you are jumping into clean water.
