Let’s face it, there is a massive multitude of people looking for your attention and eager to do “business” with you. So how do you pick who you are willing to do business with? This is true where you may be only purchasing a “one off” product…but it is specially true in network marketing where you are ultimately looking for people to join you in your business team. I imagine it is reasonable to suggest that nearly all of the time you will only do business with someone you have some meaningful rapport with. You have come to a place where you have determined that you essentially like them…you have formed the belief that you are able to be sure about them…and they have given you good cause to believe they can really assist you to achieve network marketing success. Let me give you an illustration: Let’s say you are a single person…endeavoring to find a life partner. In your pursuit you will encounter countless people. Some you will think “seem fairly pleasant” and some the thought of friendship won’t even come into your mind…not because you know they aren’t decent people…but you simply don’t particularly connect with them in any potentially meaningful way. They are simply a new acquaintance. A few may even be considered unpleasant. You will possibly form a companionship with someone who demonstrates interest in becoming acquainted with you…etc. you know how it goes. But one thing without doubt…you will definitely not consider going anywhere with anyone whose initial conversation with you is “Will you marry me?”. And marrying someone and partnering with someone in a business does have a lot of similarities. For my part…and most of us are like the rest of us…I put those who attempt to present their opportunity or product to me in a first encounter, in the “just about offensive” category. You can nearly be certain that they are NOT achieving any substantial network marketing success at all. As a result I’ll take very little notice of anything else they say. So here are a few guidelines that I believe will assist you get this right. No single one of these tips are “stand alone”…meaning you won’t achieve network marketing success with just one of these. You have to do ALL of them. See these six guidelines not so much as six different guidelines…but rather as one really big tip…with 6 aspects incorporated in it. 1. Give value. You must be prepared to give…and then give some more. The principle is…always be willing to give more value than you hope to receive in return. There is an abundance of free content available online today, so you need to be pretty proficient at this. 2. Create contrast. Have a look at what the majority are mostly doing…and don't do that. Don’t accept as true all that everyone says. Many will give the notion that they have already achieved network marketing success, but truth is…very few have. What you do must be different to what most other people are doing. Being different is what will position you apart. 3. Be yourself. Don’t be afraid to just be who you in reality are. If you are entertaining...then be entertaining. Whatever you do…don’t try to be someone else. Don’t strive to be…for example…Mike Dillard (because he’s successful) He is very good at being that…you’re not. You are very good at being YOU. Let your individuality shine. 4. Foster relationships. Building a relationship with your market is not optional…it is obligatory. Making friends with your market will also stand you out from the crowd. 5. Be persistent. No one ever struck a hole in one the first time they ever swung a golf club…but if you keep on trying, sooner or later you will score one. And if you get some good lessons and rehearse the right things it will happen a lot faster than you imagine. The ability & commitment to persist will be vital in you achieving your network marketing success. “Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful people with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan “press on” has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race” Calvin Coolidge “Education will not (take the place of persistence); the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan ‘press on’ has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race.” Calvin Coolidge 6. Care for people. And I mean genuinely care. If you have a look at at my “About me” page in resource box below you will see that as one of my core values. But you can’t fake it & just say that you care…you really have to. People will know if you’re not genuine. This will REALLY stand you out…but it also takes extra effort. If you really desire to brand yourself as a leader, as someone who many people would be keen to follow for network marketing success, and as someone who possible prospects out there can like and count on, and they can believe that you are able to help them be a success…then you need to be someone who stands out in the crowd.
I am in the process of very successfully building an awesome life long residual income in the Network Marketing industry. I have been in two network marketing companies in the past...with dismal results. So I know the feeling of failure. As a result my view of this industry wasn't overly positive...although I really knew all along that it was in fact a brilliant business model. I believe the failure rate in network marketing industry is mostly due to poor or total lack of mentoring & training made available from up-lines...also the fact that many up-lines treat their prospects like just a number. These people are recruiters...not sponsors. They never get to know you, your dreams, your partner's & kid's names, your WHY...anything about you. Some of my core values: 1. You must truly desire to help people...you can't fake it. People know. 2. This is a relationship, mentoring, coaching business...not a sales business. 3. People join PEOPLE, not a company, not a compensation plan, not a product. 4. Prospects want to know...Can I do this? & Can you help me? 5. People only remember the ones who CARE...so I want to care for you & help you. 6. Top priority...help people achieve their dreams.
