To plan a large wedding can be stressful and you want your guests to have a good time and enjoy participating so be sure to be mindful of your guests so that you can avoid any problems that may blow up to be large than necessary because of the size of your party. The last time I attended a wedding it was a disaster getting there because it the facility was in a far off place that I don't normally go and I knew the general area but I wasn't completely familiar with the streets. If this is what your guests will say about your wedding than pick another venue or make sure your directions are clear, signs are placed on the main streets leading to your building, and decorate the building so no one can miss it. This makes for a pleasant evening instead of a stressful one. Getting your guest together to mingle is important because you won't be entertaining them the whole time, there's too many of them. So if you create a way (and a place) for them to meet each other then they will eventually fall into their comfort zone and start talking, drinking, and partying as you would hope. Getting the right facility to fit the size of your party and your budget can be difficult at times and you may have to increase your budget if it's the right facility. Nothing is worse than have all your guests crammed into a little space and feeling like they need to leave early so more of your guests can arrive and meet with you. Large open spaces are great for this and can be decorated to feel more intimate. The issue of safety is a concern if you're planning on having many children attend, and what wedding doesn't have children. Okay some don't have children but most do so keep this in mind. When getting in and out of the building as well as during the event you want to be sure it's kid friendly for your guests to feel comfortable as well. No one wants their guests to leave early because they're frustrated by having to chase their children around and watch out for every little thing. Most facilities are finding it easier for everyone if they provide on-site catering for your event. Some even require that you use their caterer. This isn't a bad thing but it may not be in your plans so be sure to ask if this is important to you. Hiring a dj or live music band is great for the party that needs to dance and entertain. However, the two are very different from each other in that a dj can usually emcee the event, if you choose, and a live band can get pretty loud in a smaller hall. Loud is good for the dancing later in the night but may be overbearing on your guests during the earlier part of the evening. Just be sure you get what you want here. Decorating your building can change the appearance drastically so if you find yourself choosing one building over the other because of the way it looks, ask yourself if you could decorate one to look more like the theme of your wedding and maybe it'll save you some money or provide better amenities for your guests.
