How to to get vertical leap increase does not look that hard does it, after all it is a pretty regular question and really not that complicated to do when you think about it. But wait a minute that’s not what we are talking about. What you are looking for is to get some air time into that jump and attempt for the slam dunk, that’s what we all desire. I am going to introduce three basic exercises that will aid you get started. Keep in mind that these maneuvers are just the beginning and that to in fact get your jump to its utmost heights you need the good stuff. I have placed a link the bottom of this page that will help you out and guide where you need to go to get some amazing advice. For now we will take you through three hot exercises to try out. Prior to starting exercises perform a pattern of static and dynamic stretching in order to warm up. Note: A helpful sign of a warm up is a slight sweat. The two exercises that I found to be important are; 1. Heel Raises 2. Sprints 1. Heel Raises: What Heel Raises, what the hell are they, I said the same thing after I first heard of it. This is where you walk on your heels with your toes as far up as workable. Why and what does this do? This work out works the opposite muscle that is required for jumping. I read that to strengthen a muscle you must also work the opposing muscle. So this exercise achieves that and it works. Do this by walking round until you feel a delicate burn. Increase the time as you get better. 2. Sprints: These are necessary to gaining height into your jump. They work your fast twitch fibers which are required for the explosive swiftness when jumping. Try starting at 30 meter sprints and time yourself. Remember it’s about getting faster, the faster you can run the more likelihood you have at jumping higher. These are solely two of the exercises that will get you on track. In an extra article I go through an alternative two exercises that are unique and guaranteed to get you going. Remember that the right training and exercise is what you need to do. There are all sorts of opinions on what is the right approach or the better way but I can genuinely say that these two exercises will be part of them.

In todays world the need to keep up with everything is getting demanding, especially in sport. One claim that is out there at present is the need for basketball players to get air time and jump. Not that it is life-threatening but because we see the likes of Nate Robinson and Bugsy Mouges doing the slam and these guys are shorter than six foot. There has become this little prospect if they can do then why cant I. Exercise is the key and the right training is essential.
