The technology for the mark of the beast possibly will already be in place as people are already being implanted with micro chips. People are being softened slowly to begin accepting the mark. Plans for a one world government are already in place with a lot of organisations such as the United Nations and the World Trade Organisation in existence. There needs to be instant communications around the world and we already have that with the internet access which is the worldwide web. Many things in the end times prophecy is already happened or is happening currently although numerous still want to take place.
