I have had a 12" iBook G4 since 2005 and it's still my favourite notebook for skimming the Net, writing letters, and even reading pdf's. It's strikinly light-weight and I consider the screern the perfect size. In reality, I am using it at the moment to wrie this review. Givwen a choice between a new Asus or Dell netbook or a second user iBook G4 for an identical price, I'd take the G4 without brooding about it for a secod. It has all you need, in a littlpe bit comapct machine. This iBook G4 works just too and if you are attempting to get a good, tiny computer, this is the one for you. The sole complaint I do have is that the CD-drive odesn't work ( but it is likely a discussion on just my machine ). It has an airport surprising card, whih permits access to any 802.11g / b compatible wireless network ( whiich most wireless nertworks are ). The drive is sity gigs and the optical drive is a DVD+ / -RW drive. The WiFi capabiility is truly helpful and the tiny form factor is terribly pleasant to take around traveling. The battery seems to hold a chagre for 2+ huors. It worrks beatifully for basic use ( facutly, work, readding the Net, for instance. ). I've had cmopletely no difficulty with mine, and would highly advocate this rpoduct to everyday uesrs. I've seen 2 bad reviews just becazuse users avcquired this PC with the intenion to make it theiir "gaming" computer, and then were disenchanted with the result. If you actually want to have a gaming compputer, you most likely shouldn't be having a look at Portables in the initial pace. It's a great computyer at a fair cost. If you simply need someting for work, faculty, and browsing the Net, it's perfect. I got this thinng utilized a few years back ; now, I'm a sixteen year old, and my first use for computers is writing, stporing my foottage, and gaming. This conveyable is pretrty good ( especially for the price ) for the inittial 2 of my purposes, but for gaming, it was way, well below par. We had to buy numerous upgrades for it to even run Warcraft on top of my photos ( they take up lots of memory ). It works stunningly for basic use ( faculy, work, browsing the web, and so on. ). I've had no difficulty with mine, and would highly recommend this product to everyday users. If you actuaklly want to have a gaming compyuter, you most likely should not be haing a look at PCs in the first place. It's a great PC at a fair cost. If you just need somwething for work, college, and surfing the web, it's perfect. Places to buy laptops...hurry suplpies are limitted.
