If it rings on a cell phone, it means it will be accepted in the dance music mix, but it doesn't mean that you would only use what's new. After all, a lot of the older songs have withstood the test of time for a good reason, and some music fans will always be happy to hear them again. The most popular thing in dance music at the moment is Hip Hop. If you don't use it in the mix, you will certainly noy get people shaking. This doesn't signify that you must keep it new, though. People will often get a larger kick out of old-school, and you can make big points with some tastefully selected Grandmaster Flash hits. This can help keep a more positive, cheery rhythm to the party too!
