Custom Business Cards Help Achieve Good First Impression

By: Kate Manheaven

When it comes to introducing yourself and your business to prospective clients or customers, you need to have something with you that will tell people how professional and credible you are. You need something that will let you stay on top of your customer’s and prospect’s mind. You can’t simply go out there and write your contact details in a crumpled paper or tissue. You need to have beautifully designed business card printing.

A well designed business card will help you impress people and take notice of you. It will make you unique and stand out against your competition. But in order to achieve all that, your card has to be designed in such a way that it reflects the quality and professionalism of your business. It should sell your products and make a lasting impression for you. Keep in mind that first impression is critical. As soon as people receive your card, they will judge you based on what they see on your card. So, it’s important that you design your cards well.

But are you having trouble coming up with the best design for your cards? Sometimes all it needs is a little inspiration to get your imagination and creativity flowing. As much as possible you need to aim for unique, colorful, and creative design that people will remember. One look at your card and people should already be smitten. How do you create cards like that? Here’s how:

1/ Don’t use templates that don’t allow for customization. This will only make your cards look generic and make you look cheap and unprofessional. Although you will save a lot in doing this, you are likely to lose sales opportunities in the long run.

2/ Make sure to use the right colors. If you can’t afford full color printing, make use of two- color printing. It’s best black ink on a colored card stock or a colored ink on a white card stock. The most basic cards are printed with a black ink on a white card stock.

3/ Avoid rushing the design of your cards. If you don’t want your cards to look like everybody else, be sure to spend time choosing the right color, font, and design.

4/ Keep in mind that your cards serve as miniature billboards, so aside from putting your contact details on them, consider adding valuable information. This can come in compelling selling points such as a free consultation or a testimonial to boost the credibility of your cards. You can also add compelling images that will make your cards more noticeable and enticing.

5/ Don’t forget to write your title or profession next to your name such as Marketing Specialist, Vice President, or even just simply Boss. These titles will add credibility to your name and your card.

6/ Use the other side of your card. As much as you print important details in front your card, the back side should also contain valuable details. You put at the back additional details such as the list of your products, your store hours, or any other information that will be valuable to your customers.

7/ Hire a professional printing company if you don’t know how to design your custom business cards. They will guide you all throughout the process and ensure that your cards look as impressive and professional as possible.
