Christians all over the world have the same excuses when it comes to why they do not take in any Bible study. Roughly all of them will declare that they basically do not have the occasion for it. They do nonetheless have time to go online and surf the web, gaze at video clips, pay attention to television, catch the game, and a great number of other things. Bible study would seem to take a back burner though. Christians every so often fail to understand all of the tools available to them. For example, since they like to go online and surf the web they could even be able to do an online Bible study. There are Christian Bible studies on the television. Half time is a terrific moment in a ball game to pick your Bible up and study it. Maybe though the dilemma is not having no time to study the Bible. Maybe the actual difficulty with Bible studies is our yearning to pay attention to the word of God. For some reason we seem to have a large difficulty in this area. We would preferably belly up to the dinner table than get the word of God in our hearts. David in the Bible said that he desired the word of God more than his daily meal. Can the same be thought for us? In all truth very few of us have such a love for the word of God. As the years have gone by I asked myself why this is. I may only come to two conclusions that make sense. Either we have studied the Bible to a point that we comprehend it very well and God is withholding more from us until we use what we have, or we are uncaring towards our God. As for the first instance I can see only one solution. It may be a horrible thing for someone who loves God and needs His word to be in a state of affairs where God will not give them more. Yet these same people, myself included, have grown fat off of the word of God and store it up to ourselves. The most effective way to get out of this place is to begin giving out what you already have. It is time for you to start teaching the word. Believe me that will drive you to get into the Bible and you will start to learn more. For the second example we appear to have a difficulty. Bible studies are not wanted because the people can care less about what God states. That can sound tough but if you look at the reality it could be ugly at times. Think of your walk with God as a relationship. Have you neglected it? How much time do you spend with God? Many Christians swear up and down that they love God but spend no time with Him. That doesn’t appear like love to me. These are patty cake Christians. These are apathetic. There is just one solution for them. They have to fall in love with God. They can think they already are in love with Him but remember that love is an action. So how do we fall in love with God? It is going to take spending time with Him and getting to know Him. First though it takes repentance. Before we may be in a relationship with God we must accept the forgiveness He offers. That is the first step. The next step is repentance. Once you have in fact repented then God may fill you with love for Him. What does repentance look like? It isn’t a simple prayer. Repentance is a changing of the mind. It is deciding you would rather follow God than enjoy sin. Once you do that forgiveness is given and you will love God much. Bible studies will come easy then cause you will need to spend time with the one you love.
