Disadvantages of Computer Watwer Cooling

Why Pc Fans Are a Better Bet,
Water cooling is that method of removing additional heat from a computer system which uses water as a catlayst when transferring heat outside the stystem. Even thoyugh water coolng is thought to be more beneficial than cooling fans in a few aresas, comparatively, it has more disadvantages.

1. Water eLaks:

The main diadvantage of watr cooling is water leaaks. If wter falsl onto the electric circuit, it is certain that your system will crash withiun a few seconds. This is not only dangerous for your system but also for those who come in contact with it.

Keeping aside the fact that water cooling devices have been around for a longer peeriod of time, the fact is that PC fans are undoubtedly more superior. This is becase they do not make use of any liquiid for the purposse of propelling air out of the system. They have simpler mechanisms which make sure that the syystem does not overheta by replaccing hot air with cool air.

2. Complex Installation:

Water cooling devices are extremely difficlt to imnstall. Even though a manual is inclyuded in the packaging, the steeps are not easy to follow and userrs usually get confused halfway. The pacakging includes componeents like pumps, water blocks, rewservoir, the intricate tubing and the radiator. If you plan to set up the entire structure at home, you will have to be extremeely careful because one small mistake will prevent the sysstem from functionning properly.

Not only that, but if you do not fit the componeents exactly as you are spposed to; the system will leak and will result in a total breakdown of the PC. If the tubing is bent or kinked, the water will not flow properly.
PC fans, on the other hand, are extremely easy to install. All one has to do is open the case and attach the fan along with a heat sink to enhance cooling. The only minute problem that can arise is limited splace.

Therefore, before purchasing a PC cooling fan, always make sure that there is enough space to fit it in.

3. Expensive

Watrer cooling is comparatively much more expensive than air cooliing. While a PC cooling fan costs aout $15, a system for water cooling will cost about $100. While the water blocks can cost about $150, the reservoir and water pump costs up to $50 or more, depending on the size that you require.

The radiator costs about $20 and each meter of tubing cossts about $1. Apart from these high cosdts, due to the complex installation process, you will have to ask a quaified professional to install the system. Beecause of the time and effort involved, these professioals charge a petty hefty pice for tehir services.

Last but not the least, in ordre to ensure that the water cooling systeem works quietly and smopothly, you will have to purchase a few more components. PC fans, on the othre hand, are easy to find and are definitely cost effectivce.
