Biofuel Worse For The Carbon Emissions and MoreThan Gasoline

By: GARKO

Last week, a deputy division director of environmental maintenance for the Missouri Department of Natural Resources, admitted she was warned approximately a year ago by her counterparts in other states that manufacturers of biodiesel were illegally disposing of glycerin, the primary byproduct of biodiesel production, mixed with methanol, also a waste product that is classified as environmentally toxic.
Glycerin is an alcohol that is normally nontoxic and can be marketed for secondary uses, but it must be cleaned first, and that is a costly and involved procedure. Expanded demand for biodiesel has flooded the market with excess glycerin, this, of course, has resulted in it becoming less cost-effective to process.
Five months ago, an anonymous “whistle blower” reported that a tanker truck was illegally disposing of milky white goop into Belle Fountain Ditch, one of the many man-made routes that drain Missouri's Bootheel region. That substance was found to be glycerin from a biodiesel plant.
In January, a grand jury indicted a Missouri businessman in the discharge, which destroyed at least twenty-five thousand fish and wiped out the population of fat pocketbook mussels, an endangered species.
Another instance occurred in Alabama, Nelson Brooke of Black Warrior Riverkeeper, a 501c3 entity dedicated to safeguarding and restoring the Black Warrior River and its tributaries, was alerted to that there were fish dieing in September 2006 over a 20 mile stretch downstream from Moundville. Even though Mr. Brooke included in the report that found oil in the water surrounding the dead fish, the state Department of Environmental Management said that naturally occuring, seasonal changes in oxygen levels in the water was possibly the culprit. The agency chose not to charge Alabama Biodiesel.
In August of last year, Black Warrior Riverkeeper, filed a complaint in Federal District Court, documented at least twenty-four instances when oil was spotted in the water near the plant.

MORE HEADACHES FOR BIOFUEL

Ethanol combustion was discovered to be substantially more toxic than fossil fuel for humans. “Ethanol is being marketed as a clean and renewable fuel that can reduce global warming and smog”, said Stanford University atmospheric scientist Mark Jacobson.

But his forecast that the number of deaths and hospitalizations connected to respiratory ailments would increase if cars used fuel with high ethanol levels.

One test involved a comparison between gasoline powered automobiles to E85 fueled cars. E85 is 85% ethanol and 15% gas. “We discovered that E85 automobiles reduce atmospheric levels of two carcinogens, benzene and butadiene, but increases two others, formaldehyde and acetaldehyde. As a result, cancer rates for E85 are most likely going to remain the same as they are now while using gasoline for fuel. However, in some parts of the US, E85 significantly increased ozone, which is a primary ingredient of smog”, Jacobson said.
Which, for me, is even more confusing. I had been lead to believe that the source of the situation that environmentalists are working so hard to remedy is the depletion of the ozone and now this guy asserts that more ozone will mean more smog??
Know what? Just forget the whole thing!
Much too befuddling, even for the authorities on the subject, to get a grasp of. Besides a significantly simpler solution exists!
For those who are unfamiliar, such as the “experts”, WATER4GAS is sharing information for a fee which people can use in their garage or wherever to create a small device which instills hydrogen into the gasoline/air mixture that their car runs on.
The process makes bite sized particles out of the ones that the system burns as fuel. So the system gets to use considerably more of the gas.
By doing this you can minimumly expect to lower your gasoline usage by 12%. But many are obtaining 30-50% improvement or even more. Those particles "musta" been pretty darn huge in some engines before. But with WATER4GAS they are made usable so you can lower your gasoline usage.
It also helps make emissions substantially cleaner.
This package of info has been purchased by over NINE THOUSAND car owners already and the percentage of happy customers is about 99%! So that's a start!
