In the last few days, a deputy division director of environmental maintenance for the Missouri Natural Resources Dept, admitted she had been tipped off about a year ago by her counterparts in other states that manufacturers of biodiesel were illegally disposing of glycerin, the main byproduct of biodiesel production, mixed with methanol, also a waste product which is classified as hazardous. Glycerin is an alcohol that is usually nontoxic and can be sold for other purposes, but it must be cleaned first, and that is a costly and involved procedure. Greatly increased production of biodiesel has flooded the market with excess glycerin, making it less cost-effective to deal with. In October, an anonymous caller alerted the department that a tanker truck was illegally disposing of milky white guck into Belle Fountain Ditch, one of the many man-made channels which drain Missouri's Bootheel region. That substance was confirmed to be glycerin from a biodiesel plant. In January, a Missouri businessman was indicted as responsible for that discharge, which killed at least 25,000 fish and eliminated an endangered species of mussels. Back in Alabama, Nelson Brooke of Black Warrior Riverkeeper, a 501c3 entity dedicated to safeguarding and restoring the Black Warrior River and its adjuncts, was alerted to that there were fish dieing in the Autumn of 2006 over a 20 mile stretch downstream from Moundville. Even though Mr. Brooke included in the report that found some kind of oil in the water in the vidinty of the dead fish, the state Department of Environmental Management said that natural, seasonal shifts in oxygen levels in the water could have been the culprit. The agency rejected the opportunity to charge Alabama Biodiesel. In August, Black Warrior Riverkeeper, filed a complaint in Federal District Court, documented a minimum of twenty-four instances when oil was observed in the water near the plant. MORE TROUBLES FOR BIOFUEL Ethanol fuel was determined to be significantly more antagonistic than gasoline for human health. “Ethanol is being sold as a clean and renewable fuel which will reduce global warming and smog”, said Stanford University environmental scientist Mark Jacobson. But his predict that fatalities and illnesses connected to breathing problems would increase if automobiles used fuel with high ethanol levels. One study involved a comparison between gas powered cars to E85 fueled vehicles. E85 is 85% ethanol and 15% gas. “We found that E85 vehicles diminish environmental levels of two cancer causing agents, benzene and butadiene, however it increases two others, formaldehyde and acetaldehyde. As a result, cancer rates for E85 are likely to be similar to those for gasoline. However, in some areas of the US, E85 considerably increased ozone, which is a primary ingredient of smog”, Jacobson said. Which, for me, is even more confusing. Because I thought the source of the situation that they are trying to solve is the depletion of the ozone and now Mr Jacobson asserts that additional ozone will mean more smog?? Know what? Just forget the whole thing! Way too confusing, even for the experts, to resolve. And a significantly simpler solution exists! If you are unindoctrinated, such as the “experts”, WATER4GAS is sharing information for a fee which people can use at home to create a small device which infuses hydrogen into the gasoline/air mixture that their car or truck runs on. What this does is make bite sized particles out of the ones that the system burns as fuel. Therefore it is able to use much more of it. With WATER4GAS you can minimumly expect to improve your fuel economy by 12%. But many are getting thirty to fifty percent improvement or even more. Those goblets must have been pretty "blankin'" big in some systems before. But with W4G they are made consumable so you can improve your fuel economy. It also helps reduce emissions significantly. This information has been purchased by over NINE THOUSAND people already and happy members number about 99%! So that's a start!
