The book of Revelation is one that many Christians try to avoid. Christian churches will dance around that one book and never hold any Revelation Bible study. It should not be hard to see that this one book has been neglected by Christians for far too long. So why is it that Christians do not like to have Bible studies on Revelation? End time prophecy is something so numerous people are interested in and yet no one seems to go to the source to get a good handle on it. What is it about Revelation and end times prophecies that so many people find so hard to comprehend? The answer to that is actually more straightforward than it needs to be. The subject of end times prophecy has been taught in so numerous ways that you have about a thousand differing views on how to interpret the scriptures in Revelation. That is why Bible studies are not welcome on the subject of Revelation in many churches. It is cause they do not know what to believe and therefore do not require to have to deal with it. The solution to this is as easy as the difficulty itself though. Since the real issue can not be a lack of desire to hear of end times we want to look into what the real issue is and solve it. As already mentioned, the issue is all of the doctrines floating around on the subject. So we want to find a way to cut through the false doctrine of Revelation and get the true doctrine. This can be done the same way any other doctrine should be formed. The difficulty people have is they listen to men and schools taught with mans wisdom too often. We require to throw out the commentary and get into the scripture itself. The Bible will interpret itself for us. That is the only way to study the end times. First we need to throw out everything we have been taught and then look at the scriptures for what they in fact declare. Doing this will shock you because when you study Revelation it will not be long beforehand you find out most if not all of what is being taught is wrong. That is why we want to throw out what we already have heard since no one seems to be able to agree on anything. When that happens there is a clear sign Satan is at work trying to destroy the fact of the Bible. Study end times with an open mind and heart. Now you know how to study Revelation and end times prophecy. Only try not to get caught in the trap of attempting to force scripture to declare what you have heard before. I know that when I threw it all out and let the Bible teach me instead of commentary things went much better. I believe I have a firm grasp on this so called difficult book of the Bible. It is very rewarding to say the least when you discover the truth of what scripture states. Make an end times Bible study happen at your church. I simply ask that you first have everyone agree to throw out what they think they already know. Simply read the scripture for what it says in context. Your view of end times prophecy will never be the same.
