Anything that smells of money initially is a telltale sign of fakery. Make sure the client will indeed pay for your works. Some clients linger around in chat rooms and will offer jobs to anyone to replies to their online advertising in chat rooms. People have this myth that online jobs are easy money and they start dreaming about the projects that they have been building in their minds for several months. They respond to such clients and in the beginning, everything is brief. The client will refuse to make the complete payment citing reasons, as he needs more time to “evaluate” your work. However, at the same time he will keep on sending you more work and refuse to pay.
Some of such clients are known to cheat many by saying that they will pay in bulk towards the end of the month. If they pay up, then thanks your stars, if they do not, move on as if nothing has happened. Always find reputed clients from freelancing networks and websites which are available in plenty on the online world. You will have to register yourself so that you are presented with a list of online jobs and you will be able to bid on all the jobs being cited in the website.
Depending on the successful completion of the given jobs, the client might rate you and this will help you in progressing further in the field. Do not fall for the copy paste jobs too as they are mockery of the freelancing system and no one is going to pay you in the end. The user will be asked to copy paste-advertising links in forums and other websites. The result will be the user’s account being banned in such forums due to breach of terms and conditions. Always verify the authenticity of these jobs before proceeding to invest more time on them.
