Different forms of pickups included under this category are piezoelectric pickups or piezos, top pickups which are installed on the treble end or near end of the treble of the bridge plate, and under-saddle pickups which are probably the most famous pickups employed by musicians.



As you may have noticed, there are various forms of transducers that can be employed to help amplify acoustic instruments. However, as each of these transducers comes with complementary weaknesses, they are often combined with other transducers in order to create strong amplified sound. To enhance the sound further, the transducers you would use should also go through a good power amplification system designed for acoustic guitars.
