Socially disadvantaged students would find this especially applicable in their public school. There are many positive and healthy advantages experienced in the home and they have far more of an important impact. Considering all these points, as a parent you have to think about what kind of socialization you really want for your children. It's true that children may learn some valuable social skills in school, and perhaps form true friendships, but they can also suffer many damaging consequences. So then a parent could feel like choosing what is ultimately best for the child. You may have good reasons to be either for or against home schooling for your own kids. One issue that all parents must come to terms with is where they think their children will be safest, as this has become a real concern in modern schools. Parents have an obligation to give this factor careful consideration before making a final decision.
