I got so excited and my heart was filled with joy. Finally, I said to myself, I found it! I examined the contents of the pages at the site and I saw lots of job adverts that were similar to the ones we normally saw on classified ads in the major dailies. I read them one by one in order to see what they were looking for and where I would fit. Later on, I became convinced that forum posting was just right for me since I didn't have any trainings in any computer related fields in the internet. I applied to all the forum posting job advertisements by sending emails to the addresses mentioned in the ads. A few days later, I got a response from one of them telling me that if I was interested, I should follow the instructions in the email that would take me in an auction forum that was not eBay. I was told to make a thousand posts and I must segregate them into twenty posts per day. As compensation, I would get paid 5 cents per post. My calculations told me that I could be making 50 dollars and it would take me 50 days to finish the whole thing. The odds were against me. The job was not that easy and I was not very confident with my writings back then. Out of the need to earn and having no special qualifications to speak of in order to land a good paying job online, I took the offer and began posting. I was the only one at the forum. It was like I was talking to myself. I replied to some existing threads and made some of my own as per instruction. When I reached the halfway mark, a couple of posters arrived and we had some nice conversations from then on. The day came when I reached the quota and I immediately emailed the recruiter informing him that the job was finished. I then politely asked for my payment. There was some little tension in our communications before he sent the money through Xoom.com. Paypal did not allow people residing in the Philippines to receive any money during that time. That was in 2006. When I picked up the money at the bank the next day, I was very happy. I received my first payment from working online!
