5 Great Theme Birthday Parties for Children

By: Daniel Keene A A

One of the things that parents are doing more often is bringing some creativity into their children's lives. They are able to give kids the opportunity to be creative and to make something with their very own hands is a great way to get them involved in the birthday party fun. Instead of just going out to a bowling alley, children can enjoy a theme birthday party by creating something that they can take home with them and enjoy for a long time afterwards. Creativity is something that children need to have more of in their lives and a birthday party is a great time to try new things.

So, what can you do at theme birthday parties that children can learn from and enjoy? Here are a few ideas to get you started:

o Ceramics: Children can have fun creating their own ceramics that match the theme of any party. If the theme is princes and princesses they are able to paint figurines of princes, princesses, dragons, castles, and other fantasy things along those lines. The theme of the party can be integrated into a ceramics class and the children will be able to take home their own creations.
o Paper: Let children create picture frames that go along with the theme of the party. Nearly all places where you can have parties will make sure you are provided with pre-cut shapes that will go along with whatever theme you have chosen for your child's party. After that part is done, you can print out some photographs that you have taken during the party and have your child pass them out to the children who were there on the next day of school. They are then able to put the pictures in their new picture frames.
o Jewelry: Even if your child has boys at the party, jewelry can be a fun thing to make. Knotted bracelets are becoming more and more popular among children of both genders and they can make it their own by putting their names on it. Girls will love making their own hoop necklaces and they can choose from a wide selection of beads to make it their own.
o Candles: Girls especially will totally enjoy making candles that they are able to take home to mom or even keep in their own room. Candlescape candles are great for themed parties because the children are able to choose from an array of add-ons in the theme of the party. The Candlescape candles tell a mini-story that will make the children remember the party for a long time.
o Soap: What children don't love anything scented? Scented soaps are fun to take long playful baths with or just for decorations. Add some glitter, fun shapes, and some funky beads and they can start a soap collection of their own.
