You will quickly find yourself in the trash pile if you do not capture your prospects attention. This means using strong and effective words with a good visual layout.

Based on the advertisement of the job, try to incorporate some of that language into your resume and cover letter. Be sure to study the position being offered, and give yourself an area of expertise based on the desires of the potential employer. For example, if a company is in search of a sales executive, ensure your resume is tailored as such.

There are other visual elements you can add to your resume to be highly effective, including the use of capital letters, bold, or italics. Be sure not to use mismatching fonts which will distract the reader rather than engage them.

Show You Can Meet Their Needs. The company seeking a new executive has an important and specific need they must fill. It is good to remember that the longer this position remains empty, the increased risk a company takes in maintaining their overall health and longevity. Based on this information, tailor your resume to fit the current needs of an organization while achieving their company goals.

Value Over Cost. Any person in sales will tell you they can either offer the cheapest price or the best value, but you generally cannot have both. These companies buy the least expensive pens and paper, but invest in people and specifically executives.
Be sure to highlight your past successes using tangible and quantifiable numbers, which can be sales or revenue growth, dates and milestones met, or goals achieved. Enhance these areas of your resume for maximum impact.

Keeping these three elements top of mind and incorporating them into your executive resume will give you an impactful and powerful executive resume to land the perfect job which will keep you satisfied for years to come.
