2012 End of The World Forecast

By: Jimmy Barlow

The End of the world is emerging two years from now. The ancient Mayan calendar Apocalypse theory has identified the day that all of the world as we know it would come to an end, and the date is on December 21st, 2012. This particular prophecy about 2012 the end of the world is actually the most prevalent and most believed of all the antichrist and doomsday predictions and prophecies that have circulated all throughout the world for centuries. And there are hundreds of Apocalypse prophecies that go as far back as 1669 and have cause panic over the centuries; the most recent prophecies had people hiding in caves waiting for the rest of the world to be wiped out, and still nothing happened, which is why it is a great wonder that this particular End of the world prophecy has a lot of people convinced.

Indeed, with the last doomsday farce concerning the Y2K theories seem to have lost its dismaying effect among people and this 2012 apocalypse prediction has the entire planet believing and had even inspired a movie. If we are to discuss the motives fueling this belief, the first on the list would be the fact that the ancient Mayans are known worldwide as a culture that is complex in the study of astronomy and mathematics and they are a race that is acutely tuned with their spirituality and religion. The most referenced and most popular version of the prediction is that of the Mayan calendar that accurately predicts the end of the planet's current life cycle. Scientists and astronomy scholars have gone back and forth debating on the precision of said ancient calculations as well as the calendar however, in the end they all agreed that the ancient Mayan’s calculation of the lunar cycle’s length, which is 329.53020 days, is only thirty seconds off as in comparison to the lunar cycle length that is accepted and used until today, so yes, hands down the ancient calendar is reputable.

And there is another End of the world theory that had started and fueled the 2012 official countdown. A shifting of the poles is another theory that has many people believing in the 2012 doomsday prophecies because the most recent magnetic pole shift is said to have wiped out the dinosaurs.

There are of course other concepts that circulate around the world which are somewhat less scary; and that is in the year 2012, the world as we now know it will end, however, not in the way that the movies and the other end of the world theories have pictured, but the quality of living and the level of awareness and spirituality and knowledge of all people living in the Earth will be significantly heightened. Now if the End of the Earth is really less than two years away, what are you going to do until then?
