If you are getting into network marketing or an Internet business, there are ten key factors of business that must be comprehended. Over the next several posts, I am going to describe each aspect of online business and how it relates to a successfu enterprise. Critical Factor #1: Demand To be thorough, we are going to kick this off with the most elementary factor in any enterprise, demand. We all experience demand living in a free market system. It is the need of the market place. The products and services that people desire. Think of demand like appetite. What are people hungry for? There are some things people are undoubtedly not hungry for and have a very low demand. For instance, outmoded technology like VHS cassettes are not in big demand. It would be very difficult these days to start a profitable business selling VHS movies. But what do you think about the newest electronic device? People wait for hours in the rain to get their hands on the latest and best gadgets. What a great example of high demand! With online marketing, you have access to folks from all over the world with a wide range of wants and desires. Chances are, if you have a product or service idea, you will be able to find hungry consumers somewhere on the Web. Supply and demand are also very important elements that impact demand It's just fine to offer a high quality service or product that is in demand, but if people can get it anywhere, easily and cheaply, you will have a hard time distinguishing yourself from your competition.. For instance, in a tourist town close to where I live, there is a main drag that gets high traffic. During the summer, lemonade is in high demand. What a great place to open a lemonade stand! Trouble is there are about 15 other lemonade stands on the half mile strip. Do you think it is a good business idea to open yet another lemonade stand? Using the Internet to enlarge your enterprise, you may want to consider persuing a market that is not already saturated. Corner a market that the demand is high Concentrate on situations where competitors are few and demand is large. Look for openings in undiscovered markets. This may sound clear-cut, but it is amazing to see how many entrepreneurs getting into into multilevel marketing do not comprehend demand. Some examination may be needed to determine where demand is greatest, or you may be involved in a network marketing group that has done all that work for you. When you have demand, selling your leading products or services will be much simpler, and you will have much more success building a successful down-line sales force. Which brings us to our next topic: Target Market.
